The Role:

We are seeking a whole school Inclusion Manager/ SEN Coordinator to coordinate and implement the special educational needs provision across the school. The successful candidate will be required to:

Promote an ethos and culture that supports the inclusion of all students

– Determine the strategic development of the special educational needs (SEN) provision throughout the school

–  Be responsible for specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability

–  Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies 

– Supervise teachers in providing referrals and ensure IEPs are in place and records are maintained up to date.

The SEN coordinator will have strategic and operational oversight of the Inclusion provision. He/she will work closely with the teaching staff to maintain the SEN register, develop schemes of work and lesson plans for pupils  with identified needs of SEN learners, deliver support to identified students and facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils, and by organising learning resources and the classroom-learning environment.

Candidate requirements:

  • University Degree in Psychology / Education related discipline, with additional qualifications relating to special educational needs.
  • Experience in working with SEN students of all ages
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Hold EU passport or have already obtained the right to be employed in Italy.
